How do I sign up?
It's easy and free. Join Partial by signing up as an Art Collector, and start browsing!
Can I ask the artist a question about their art?
Yes, you may submit any comments and questions to the artist about their work by sending them a message on Partial!
Buying & Renting Art
Do you have a gallery that I can visit?
No, we are an online gallery, and all of the artwork is in the hands of the artists. To inquire about an art piece, you can message artists directly on our platform, and securely process payment on here, as well!
Can I see the art piece in person before I purchase or rent?
Yes, in many cases, you can ask the artist on the platform if you can go to see the art piece first. We recommend completing the purchase on Partial if you love it for a couple of reasons: 1) to ensure you get insurance protection for your art rental if you’re renting, and 2) to support our small business!
What is Partial’s Artwork Protection plan?
Art rentals are protected by Partial’s Artwork Protection Plan, which protects and insures art pieces in your home, office, or design project for the duration of the rental period. Artwork won't, however, be covered for damage caused by gross negligence and you will be held responsible for paying for the damages incurred (so no, don't mount a dart board next to your art piece). When will you charge my credit card?
Your credit card will be charged only upon your approval of the artwork fee and any agreed-upon additional fees from the artist. We use Stripe to process all payments securely.
Will my rental fees be applied against the purchase of the artwork?
If you choose to purchase the artwork at the end of your rental period, yes! 100% of your rental fees will be deducted from the artwork purchase price.
Can I get a refund on an art rental if I change my mind?
For rentals, if you choose to return the work within the first month, please notify us at customercare@partial.gallery. A $35 CAD +taxes cancellation fee will be charged. The first month's payment is non-refundable. You can arrange a return pick-up or delivery with the artist within your booking conversation with the artist. Returns are not eligible for artwork purchases.
Can I buy out my art piece before the rental period is over?
Yes, you can buy out the rented art piece at any time by going back into your booking chat with the artist. The difference owed to own the work will be calculated there, and clicking the "Process Payment" will process the charge to your credit card on file. If you have any questions about the process, please contact our support team at customercare@partial.gallery.
Returns and Delivery
How long will it take for my art piece to arrive?
Delivery times will vary case by case, but a typical delivery period for a local piece of artwork should be between 3-5 business days from payment, but it will vary depending on the artist. If a piece (such as fine art photography) requires production time, it will take longer than this. International shipping timelines will vary. The artist will be able to share more information with you about their delivery updates! Note that shipping delays related to Canada Post and other couriers are not the responsibility of Partial or the Artists.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, international shipping is available for art sales only. International art rentals are not available on Partial.
What do I do if the art piece arrives damaged?
The first thing to do would be to notify the artist and submit a customer service request to us at customercare@partial.gallery as soon as possible. If the issue cannot be resolved with the artist, our team is here to assist.
What is your return policy?
Trying the artwork in a space for 3/6/9 months is a great way to trial out a piece before committing to it. However, should you change your mind within the first month of your rental, you may cancel and receive a refund for the remaining rental term. A $35 cancellation fee will be applied. Your first month rental is non-refundable. You can arrange a return pick-up or delivery with the artist within your booking conversation with the artist. Sorry, we do not accept returns for artwork purchases.
